A Clause vs Sentence

A clause is a group of words that contains both a subject and a verb, and can function as a complete sentence on its own. There are two main types of clauses: independent clauses and dependent clauses. Dependent clauses are those that cannot stand alone as a complete thought and must be connected to an independent clause to form a complete sentence. Independent clauses are complete thoughts that can stand alone as sentences. Sentence may not have a subject.

Clauses should have subject and verb always.
